LIFE IN MELBOURNE SO FAR

 Roll'd - Banh Xeo

I am obviously the worst blogger ever as I'm finding it so difficult to stay consistent with posts recently. I wanted to make a quick update post sharing a couple of interesting (and mostly bad quality) snaps that I've taken over the past 3 and a half weeks. I've managed to find a job which keeps me relatively busy but in my time off I love hanging around in the city and wandering around the small laneways lined with eclectic cafes and boutiques. A lot of people say Melbourne is Australia's most 'European' city and I have to agree. During lunchtime hours there's a throng of people sitting outside drinking coffee and chatting with friends - I love it! I went to an amazing vietnamese place called 'Roll'd' where I tried Banh Xeo which is a pancake made out of rice batter and filled with delicious meats and veggies. Mine was filled with lemongrass beef and was unbelievably good - of course I had to have sweet potato fries aswell!

This week I went to an animal sanctuary where I got to see koalas, kangaroos, dingoes, tasmanian devils.. the list goes on! It felt really aussie but unfortunately I stupidly forgot my DSLR camera so couldn't get many good shots of the animals - hopefully you can still appreciate the cuteness!

I MOVED TO AUSTRALIA!

SO I MOVED TO MELBOURNE! If you've read my other blog posts you'll know that I was moving and I can't believe the time has actually came. This is my third day here in Melbourne but my second day awake. Jet lag is real. I'm staying with family while I get my bearings but will hopefully move closer to the city or beach in a few weeks/months. Yesterday, I went for a drive up the coast to Port Philip Bay which is absolutely stunning as you can see! I loved eyeing up the unbelievable houses on the way, some of them looked like Kim K style mansions! If I had the money I would move to this area in a heartbeat, although it is about a hour and a half drive from the city itself.

At the moment I'm just settling in and job hunting primarily but so far I'm loving it! Not homesick yet, sorry England.

TRAVELLING AROUND DENMARK - ARRHUS

I recently spent a long weekend with my family in Arrhus - Denmark. This was my first visit to Denmark and I am now desperate to go to Copenhagen and its larger cities. It was honestly one of the trendiest and friendliest places I've ever been to. I've always admired the simplicity and class of Scandinavian design and fashion. I especially loved sneaking a peak into all the impeccably decorated living rooms of all the Danish apartments we walked past - as creepy as that sounds. I really regret not taking pictures of some of the street style that I saw but I'll make sure that the next time I travel I'll snap some pictures of interesting outfits.

Three amazing 'scandi' fashion bloggers:
I 100% recommend you visit Arrhus, its such a beautiful city that's so full of culture!
